You take and you take

You take everything she has to offer

But you don’t give back

She has raised you, fed you

Given you everything

You still want more

You don’t listen to your mother

You dig for more

You don’t hear her cry

You don’t see her

She is suffocated by your flames

You ignore her suffering

You forget her other children

Extinct by your hand

You revel in their destruction

Listen to your mother
